Teknium 03e9f4caee Merge pull request #104284 from NousResearch/fix/nous-anthropic-chat-wire
fix(nous): route anthropic/* over chat/completions by default; the native Portal route re-writes the cache on 14-20% of calls (nous.anthropic_wire)

Teknium 028fe2c4c8 feat(delegation): per-task completion groups — ungrouped subagents return as they finish
A background delegate_task call used to be ONE async unit: the runner joined on
every child and a single consolidated message re-entered the conversation when
the SLOWEST finished. Fifteen independent PR reviews therefore waited on the
fifteenth before the parent could act on the first.

Each task now carries an optional `group`. `_units_of` partitions the call's
children into units — one per distinct group, one per ungrouped task — and each
unit is dispatched to the async registry on its own, so its results re-enter the
conversation as soon as THAT unit is done. Tasks that must be compared or merged
share a group and still return together.

Capacity is unchanged: every unit of one call joins the first unit's pool slot
(`slot_key` in `async_delegation._dispatch`), so splitting never consumes more of
`delegation.max_concurrent_children` than the call did. Unit ids suffix the
call's id (`deleg_xxxx-1`, `-2`, …) so live transcripts stay under one dir; the
completion block names the group and notes that sibling units report separately;
`active_task_count` counts a unit's own tasks.

Teknium 54e24ae1fa fix(nous): route anthropic/* over chat/completions by default (nous.anthropic_wire)
Portal serves anthropic/* on two routes. The native /v1/messages wire, which
Hermes has used since 02d5e23085, re-writes the previous turn's prompt cache
on 14-20% of consecutive calls in concurrent tool loops; the chat/completions
route does not. Measured 2026-09-06, 20 concurrent sessions x 6 tool calls on
Fable 5.1, same account, same hour, same first-party pin:

  Nous /v1/messages 180 pairs, 25 stuck (13.9%); 3 earlier 40-session
                             runs 15.0 / 17.3 / 20.2%; unchanged by the pin
  Nous /v1/chat/completions 320 pairs (2 runs), 0 stuck
OpenRouter direct, pinned 161 pairs, 0 stuck

"stuck" = cache_read on call k+1 equals cache_read on call k instead of
call k's prompt size: the last write was not visible, the turn (~28K) was
written twice. Every stuck pair had byte-identical system, tools and
per-message shas, so it is not client-side mutation. At $10-20/M for
cache writes that is 15-20% of a fan-out's write bill.

The cause is inside the portal's native route (every element of its
outgoing request reproduces clean from outside; NousResearch/api#227
carries the diagnostics). Until it is fixed, anthropic/* rides
chat/completions. nous.anthropic_wire: native opts back in. Cost of
chat: prior-turn thinking travels as OpenAI-style reasoning fields, and
cache_control scopes are translated by the portal's adapter.

Tests: new test_nous_anthropic_wire_default.py reads the knob through the
real config loader in a temp HERMES_HOME and through
resolve_runtime_provider (both settings); the existing native-wire
contract suite selects native via an autouse fixture so the wire keeps
working for the flip-back. Live: a real AIAgent on this branch,
provider=nous + anthropic/claude-fable-5.1, dispatches to
chat/completions with the session_id intact.

Teknium bc31e04d83 fix(telegram): strip our handle only as sole addressee; keep the identity line session-stable
Two corrections on top of the mention-preservation pick:

- Stripping our own trigger handle from every group message was replaced by never stripping
it in groups, which broke the pre-existing contract that `@bot 2` answers a pending clarify
prompt and `@bot ok` approves (the intercepts match the exact stripped text). Strip only when
no other participant is named; when other bots/users are mentioned the text is kept verbatim
  so `@research_bot , @ops_bot …` no longer arrives as `, @ops_bot …`.
- The addressing block carried a per-message fact ("explicitly mentions you: yes/no") inside
`channel_prompt`, which is part of the cached-agent signature: a mention turn followed by a
reply turn rebuilt the AIAgent (prompt-cache miss) every time the shape flipped. Keep only
the username line, byte-identical for the life of the session.

Tests rewritten to pin both contracts (sole-addressee stripping; identical channel_prompt and
agent signature across a mention turn and a reply turn).

Teknium 0a195aa463 docs: provider_routing is OpenRouter-only; Nous Portal rejects the provider object
Portal decides routing centrally per model and returns HTTP 400 on any
caller-supplied `provider` object (live-confirmed). Drop the five "OpenRouter or
Nous Portal" claims from the provider-routing page and say plainly that the
setting is ignored on Portal now that the profile no longer forwards it.

Teknium 12871bd01e feat(openrouter): per-model provider_routing.models.<id> overrides
`provider_routing.models.<model-id>` now takes the same only/ignore/order/sort/
require_parameters/data_collection keys and overlays the flat provider_routing
values whenever the agent is on that model. Resolution lives in the one
chokepoint every request path already uses (_provider_preferences_for_agent),
so CLI, gateway, TUI/Desktop, cron, /model switches, fallback activation and
delegated children on another model all honour it with no per-surface plumbing.
Matching is spelling-tolerant, sharing _canonical_model_variants with
agent.reasoning_overrides.

The OpenRouter profile's speed-tier pin no longer overwrites an explicit user
`only` on the BASE gpt-6-astra slug: the pin exists to keep default routing off
flex/fast, and a user pin is the stronger intent (only: [openai] stays [openai]
instead of becoming [openai, azure, azure/us]). Tier slugs (-fast/-flex) keep
owning `only`.

Live A/B (config only: {gpt-6-astra: [openai], claude-fable-5.1: [anthropic]}):
main sent {"sort":"price"} for fable and OpenRouter served it from Azure; with
this change it sends {"only":["anthropic"],"sort":"price"} and Anthropic serves it.

Schema proposed in #24495 (samplesabotage) and #100711 (Artemonim); this is a
slim chokepoint implementation of that design.

Teknium ee5b5ec21e docs(skills): reddit-reading spells out that no login is needed and OAuth is app-only
The default backend needs no Reddit account, login, cookie or API key; the
optional upgrade is a free 'script' app registration using the app-only
client_credentials grant, never a user login. Said in the skill's
Prerequisites (with a comparison table), Procedure, Pitfalls, the runtime
doctor/thread notes, and a delimited .env.example block.

Teknium 4dc9988f78 feat(skills): reddit-reading and rss-feeds bundled skills, multi-platform sweep guidance
Two zero-install research skills plus routing guidance, ported as ideas
(not code) from the Agent Reach skill's per-platform backend routing.

reddit-reading (skills/social-media): subreddit listings, site/subreddit
search, threads with comments, user pages. Live-verified from a datacentre
IP: www .json, api.reddit.com, old.reddit, r.jina.ai and the browser tool
all return 403 / an empty shell / a humanity check; the Atom .rss endpoints
are the only anonymous path and are throttled to ~1 request/min/IP. The
script waits out the x-ratelimit-reset window once and retries, and
switches to the OAuth API (scores, nested comments, ~100 req/min) when
REDDIT_CLIENT_ID/SECRET are present. `doctor` reports the active backend.

rss-feeds (skills/research): RSS 2.0 / RSS 1.0 / Atom / JSON Feed parsing
with UTC-normalised dates, --since/--limit, and feed discovery behind a
page URL (<link rel=alternate>, then well-known paths). Stdlib only; the
optional blogwatcher skill remains the stateful many-feed reader and now
points at this one for one-off reads.

grounded-citations gains a "Multi-Platform Sweeps" section routing
"what are people saying about X" tasks across web, Reddit, feeds, video,
code and X with per-platform attribution and coverage-gap reporting;
competitor-news-monitor references the new sources.

Tests: two invariant tests per skill (format normalisation + discovery;
anonymous 429 handling + OAuth routing/flattening), no network. The
reddit test caught a real bug: the feed footer's "/u/author" leaked into
post bodies.

Teknium 463292351f fix: mid-turn user message no longer waits behind a foreground terminal command
A message typed while the agent runs (CLI busy_input_mode=interrupt, gateway
priority redirect, ACP redirect) goes through AIAgent.redirect(). During tool
execution redirect() degrades to steer(), whose delivery rides the tool result
— so a long foreground command (a `sleep 285` CI poller, a build) parked the
user's message until it exited. The UI printed "Redirected current turn" while
nothing happened for minutes.

redirect() now also asks the tool workers to YIELD (tools/interrupt.request_yield).
The local terminal backend's wait loop honours it: the drain thread is stopped, the
still-running Popen is adopted by the process registry as a notify_on_complete
background session (ProcessRegistry.adopt_local — output so far seeds the buffer,
the registry reader continues from the pipe), and the tool returns immediately with
status "yielded_to_background" + session_id. The command is never killed; the
completion notification arrives as usual and process(poll/wait/log/kill) work on it.

Non-local backends and internal env.execute() consumers pass no yield_handler and
are unaffected; a stale yield bit is cleared with the interrupt bit per worker tid.

Teknium 13e72fb205 Merge pull request #102986 from NousResearch/fix/browser-exec-packaged-chromium
browser_exec local mode drives the packaged Chromium instead of the user's Chrome
2026-09-04 08:42:27 -07:00
Teknium 9e13ac2f01 fix(browser): browser_exec local mode drives the packaged Chromium, not the user's Chrome
Symptom: with Browser Use mode (the default) and no cloud provider / CDP
override, browser_exec left BU_CDP_* unset, so the browser-use harness ran
its own local discovery — hunting for the user's INSTALLED Chrome on its
default profile. That path needs the chrome://inspect remote-debugging
toggle plus an "Allow remote debugging?" popup per run, is blocked outright
on Chrome >=136, and on a headless host (or one without Chrome) fails with
"chrome-not-running: no supported Chromium-family browser is running". The
built-in browser_* tools never had this problem: they drive the Chromium
Hermes installs, launched through agent-browser.

Change: `_resolve_backend_cdp` step 4 becomes the local ENGINE —
lightpanda when configured, otherwise `_resolve_managed_chromium_cdp`,
which runs `agent-browser --session <key> get cdp-url` through the legacy
`_run_browser_command` (Chromium preflight/auto-install, per-key session
cache, inactivity reaper, atexit) and exports the returned ws:// endpoint
as BU_CDP_WS. Each cache key (task, or bu-named-<session>) gets its own
Chromium, so named sessions are private and skip the own-tab preamble.
Running `get cdp-url` on every call also refreshes agent-browser's idle
timer (it never sees the harness's direct CDP traffic) and follows a
relaunch after the reaper closed the browser.

Live: before, browser_exec on origin/main → exit 1 "chrome-not-running";
after → new_tab/page_info succeed on a cold start, warm reuse, post-reap
relaunch, and a named session; a missing Chromium surfaces the install
hint instead of the harness's Chrome hunt.

Teknium c240e65399 fix(skills): self-improvement writes lessons, not incident logs
The skill review fork, the combined memory+skill review, and the curator's
consolidation pass all described references/ as the place for
"session-specific detail", and the curator's demote step said to move a
sibling's file under the umbrella. Followed literally over months that
produced one dev skill with a 100k SKILL.md dense in PR numbers and 443
one-per-session reference files, plus five sibling skills restating the
same rules and the repo's AGENTS.md.

The three prompts now share one shape contract: an entry is an imperative
rule plus one clause of why, stated once; no PR/issue numbers, dates, or
quoted chat as content; references/ is a small topical set extended in
place, never a per-session file; skills do not restate always-loaded
context. Consolidation is defined as distilling, and copying a sibling
verbatim under references/ is named as the failure. skill_manage's schema
carries the one-sentence version.

Two advisory linter rules make the shape visible in the tool result the
moment it starts to drift: incident-log-shape (PR/issue-number density in
prose) and references-sprawl (>60 reference files), the latter also run
on references/ writes. On the real before/after: the old skill trips both,
the consolidated one trips neither.

Teknium f1ccf436a2 feat(web): Perplexity Search API as a web_search + web_extract backend
Adds plugins/web/perplexity — a keyed-only WebSearchProvider over httpx:

- search: POST https://api.perplexity.ai/search (documented Search API),
  search_context_size=low so `snippet` stays description-sized;
  results[].snippet -> description, max_results capped at the API's 20.
- extract: POST /sdk/content/snippets — the query-relevant page-excerpt
  route behind `pplx content snippets` (the CLI's `content fetch` is
deprecated upstream). web_extract has no query, so the URLs' path words
serve as the relevance query; per-URL `error` entries survive a 200.
- Wired into the same touchpoints as the other keyed vendors: legacy
backend set + credential ladder + availability probe (web_tools),
  registry preference walk, OPTIONAL_ENV_VARS, `hermes config`/status/
dump key lists, nous_subscription direct-credential detection, setup
  summary, test conftests, docs.

Not a keyless-ring member (Perplexity has no anonymous tier). Related
closed PRs #9192 / #23981 / #45225 predate the plugin ABC.

Teknium 80fae22bf5 fix(lsp): share one pyright process across git worktrees via workspaceFolders
Multi-root servers (pyright) are keyed by server_id; a file whose resolved
root is new for a running client is attached with
workspace/didChangeWorkspaceFolders instead of spawning another server.
Single-root servers keep the (server_id, workspace_root) key and behavior.
A profiled fan-out across ~30 worktrees ran 30-60 pyright processes
(~8.7 GB); the same fan-out now runs one.

Teknium d0b7cec0b8 fix(prompt): Muse Spark gets tool-use enforcement + execution guidance on defaults (#96550)
On agent.tool_use_enforcement/execution_guidance "auto", muse-spark-* was in

143 tests pass (guard, selection guards, opencode catalog, model_metadata);

kshitijk4poor eac466d7bd fix(browser): gate lightpanda --http-cache-dir on binary support
Salvage follow-up for PR #100269. The flag landed upstream in 0.3.x;
binaries before it (e.g. 0.2.8, verified locally) fatally reject the
flag with 'unknown argument', breaking every Browser Use launch.
Probe 'lightpanda help' once per process and omit the flag when the
binary predates it. Also soften the unverified concurrency claim in
the _http_cache_dir docstring and tell docs readers to stop sessions
before deleting the live sqlite cache.

Adrià Arrufat 6973ce3ac2 feat(browser): give Lightpanda an on-disk HTTP cache
Lightpanda's HTTP cache is opt-in (`--http-cache-dir`, off by default), and
the launcher never passed it, so every Browser Use navigation re-fetched
every asset.

Point all Hermes-spawned instances at one shared cache under
$HERMES_HOME/cache/browser-use/lightpanda/http-cache. Sharing it across
sessions keeps assets warm through session churn; Lightpanda stores it in
sqlite (WAL), so a write that loses a race degrades to a cache miss rather
than a failed load, and --http-cache-entry-limit (default 1000) bounds the
directory without Hermes managing eviction.

Measured over 25 navigations across 5 sites, median warm navigation drops
from 0.40s to 0.18s on news.ycombinator.com and 0.14s to 0.10s on
wikipedia; total navigation time 7.0s -> 5.9s.

The flag has existed since Lightpanda 0.3.x (April 2026), so this needs no
minimum-version bump.

Expose the read deadline as a top-level config.yaml key beside
context_file_max_chars (same load_config_readonly resolution shape), default
5s, documented in context-files.md. Narrow the reader thread's catch from
BaseException to Exception: control-flow exceptions can't originate inside
read_text on a worker thread, and re-raising one would bypass the sites'
except Exception / except (OSError, UnicodeDecodeError) handlers.

Brooklyn Nicholson 06a4f4ab31 feat(desktop): group a comment batch by page region so it lands as a few tasks
Twenty-three comments arrived as twenty-three flat blocks, so the agent made
twenty-three todos and ground through them one at a time. They now arrive
grouped by where they sit in the page, with a line telling the agent to work
the groups rather than the comments.

The renderer groups on structure, not meaning. Whether a comment is a UI nit
or a functional bug is a judgment only the model can make, and prose-matching
it here would be wrong constantly; which pins share a DOM subtree is something
the selector already answers. That split is also the one that makes parallel
work safe — grouping by theme instead ("all the spacing ones") cuts across the
same components and puts several workers in the same files, so the guidance
says to hand out whole groups and never to regroup by theme.

Grouping compares ancestor paths, so a heading and a paragraph in one card
stay together instead of becoming two singletons. Depth is derived rather than
tuned: descend the shared prefix until it stops being shared, then sub-split
any group still holding more than a third of the batch — without that pass a
normal page buries every section under `main`. Batches under four comments,
and batches that all land in one region, stay flat.

Grouping is advice in the prompt, never an action: the renderer does not spawn
or delegate anything. That stays the agent's call.

Brooklyn Nicholson e4bda3ff77 feat(desktop): browser comments carry the element's selector, markup, and styles
Comment mode shipped the crop and the note, so an agent got a picture of the
problem and had to grep for the element it showed. Each element comment now
also names its CSS selector, its markup, and the computed styles that decide
layout, which is what the agent needs to land in the right file.

The target line stays prose — it is what the user pointed at — and the DOM
detail rides labelled lines beneath it. Area pins have no element, so they
still get only the crop and the note.

Markup is redacted in the guest before it crosses to the host: password and
hidden input values, and any attribute reading as a key/token/secret, are
replaced with [redacted] on a clone, so a page's secrets never reach the
composer or the model. It is clipped to a 600-char budget so one comment
cannot paste a whole section.

AnnotateIdentity was a hand-copy of CompactIdentity that had already drifted;
it is now an alias, so the guest, the pin, and the packer cannot disagree
about the shape again.

Teknium 3312947e14 fix(auth): concurrent Nous 401 recovery adopts a peer's refresh instead of re-rotating the shared grant
N processes sharing one Nous OAuth pool entry hit the hourly expiry
together; each force-refreshed, each rotation invalidated the token a
sibling had just adopted, and processes that lost the auth-store flock
race had their only entry benched ("matched no nous entry ... pool size
0") — ~120 sessions surfaced 401 'out of funds' on Sep 2 2026.

- resolve_nous_runtime_credentials(stale_access_token=): under the store
lock, skip the refresh POST when the on-disk token differs from the one
that failed and is usable (a peer already rotated) — adopt instead.
- credential_pool nous path: adopt a peer-rotated key after the pre-sync,
pass the failed bearer through, and treat a lock TimeoutError as
'retry later', never as an exhausted credential.
- Live 120-process stampede harness: 41 refreshes/9 unrecovered -> 1
  refresh/0 unrecovered.

Teknium 73f68362b3 fix(sessions): auto-prune state.db by default (90d) and gate VACUUM on freelist ratio (#54189)
Flip the state.db retention defaults per Teknium's decision on #54189:

- sessions.auto_prune: false -> true. A stock install now prunes ENDED
sessions inactive for retention_days at CLI/gateway/cron startup
(at most once per min_interval_hours). Open, pinned and mid-turn
sessions are never deleted; the only open rows touched are stale
automation sessions (#100903 sweep), which are closed, not deleted,
and aged a further full window before removal.
- sessions.retention_days stays 90 (already the default; verified).
- Auto-VACUUM is now additionally gated on the reclaimable fraction of
  the file: PRAGMA freelist_count / page_count must exceed 25%
(AUTO_VACUUM_MIN_FREELIST_RATIO) on top of the existing
min_vacuum_interval_days throttle. Pruning a few small sessions on a
dense multi-GB DB no longer rewrites the whole file to reclaim a few MB.
Unknown ratio (pragma read failure) falls back to the time throttle.

Existing installs that explicitly set any sessions.* key keep their
values (load_config deep-merges DEFAULT_CONFIG under user YAML); only
unset keys pick up the new defaults. No _config_version bump needed.
cli-config.yaml.example documents the section commented-out so
installers that copy it verbatim never pin these as explicit settings.

Tests: ratio gate (below/above/at-threshold/unknown/override), real-DB
freelist ratio, default assertions, fresh-config startup hook reaches
the prune call, explicit opt-out respected, template-does-not-pin-keys.

Teknium 8e4366d358 fix(tools): freeze tools[] across agent-cache eviction; make /reload-mcp the re-probe hatch
Policy: availability-gated tools (check_fn probes — Docker, HASS_TOKEN,
OAuth…) are frozen for the life of a session. tools[] only changes on
/new, /reload-mcp, or compaction. Two doors remained after #100638:

* Gateway agent-cache eviction (LRU/idle sweep/cross-process invalidation)
rebuilds a fresh AIAgent for the SAME session and agent_init re-derives
agent.tools from live probes with no predecessor to preserve. Persist
  the session's resolved tool-name order in a new `sessions.tool_names`
JSON column (declarative reconciliation, SCHEMA_VERSION 28), written
alongside the system prompt and re-pinned on every published refresh
(so /reload-mcp and compaction naturally reset it; /new mints a new
row). On restore-for-existing-session the fresh definitions are folded
onto the saved order via the SAME `_merge_preserving_prefix` helper —
a probe-flipped tool is carried forward from the registry schema, a
deregistered one dropped, new tools appended at the tail.

* /reload-mcp (CLI, gateway, TUI RPC) now also calls
`reprobe_tool_availability()` — drops the check_fn verdict cache and the
get_tool_definitions memo — so a user can consciously pick up a
credential/daemon that appeared mid-session. Docs updated.

outside profiles). Documents the field in the wire-format section.

Kong dca9a54427 fix(gateway): match WhatsApp profile_routes across JID/LID/number forms
`ProfileRoute.matches()` compared `chat_id` as an exact string, so a
WhatsApp route written as a phone number never matched the JID
(`…@s.whatsapp.net`) or LID (`…@lid`) the bridge actually delivers, and
the inbound fell through to the default profile. Allowlists and session
keys already canonicalize these via `gateway.whatsapp_identity`.

Exact compare still wins first; only whatsapp / whatsapp_cloud *user*
chats get the alias intersection fallback (applied to both `chat_id` and
`parent_chat_id`). Groups, broadcasts and every other platform stay exact.

Salvaged from #85081 (Kong); parent_chat_id fallback added on top.

Teknium 7a86397a46 fix(api_server): fail closed on unstamped runs; claim session-chat-stream run owner (#93689)
Port the run-ownership invariants from PR #93747 onto main's `_run_owners`
model in gateway/platforms/api_server_runs.py:

- `_request_owns_run` no longer admits run state that exists without an
owner stamp. Under gateway.multiplex_profiles every served profile holds
a valid key, so the "backward compatibility" branch made the boundary
allow-all whenever provenance was missing. Unstamped state now fails
closed; only an in-memory owner match or a durable idempotency record
under the caller's own scope admits a run.
- POST /api/sessions/{id}/chat/stream claims `_run_owners` at the run mint,
inside the request's profile scope, so its run is confined to the
  creating profile like /v1/runs.
- Owner release is tied to "no run-keyed state survives"
(`_release_run_owner_if_forgotten`) and runs at every retirement point
(task finally, SSE stream close, both sweep loops, chat-stream finally),
not only the terminal-status sweep — no stranded entries, no stateful id
  ever left unowned.

Docs: note that runs are per-profile scoped (replaces the now-false
visibility admonition proposed in PR #92822).

Teknium e9dd0bf5d5 feat(desktop): polish bot roster sections — dialog rename, Undo delete, Esc-cancel drag, nested under gateways (salvage #100745)
Follow-up on @fortun8te's user-made roster sections:

- Sections start empty: no seeded General/Workforce/Clients. With no
sections created the roster renders exactly as before.
- New section and Rename go through one Dialog + Input + Cancel/Save
(the app's session-rename shape) instead of an inline caret; the row
menu's "New section…" files the bot as it creates.
- Delete needs no confirmation: bots return to Unassigned and the toast
offers Undo (restores the section in its slot and refiles its bots).
- Drag: single-row drag under a private MIME type, every valid target
shows a faint outline while a drag is live, the hovered target lights
up, the source section refuses the drop, Escape cancels, and the moved
row no longer stays faded after it remounts under its new section.
- Multi-select (cmd/shift-click, querySelectorAll shift-range) dropped:
the roster has no selection model. Per-bot saveBotMeta writes run in
sequence, one per profile (membership IS a field on each profile).
- Section heading reuses RosterSectionHeader (gains `action` /
`onDoubleClick`), so user sections fold and look like the gateway
headings; ⋯ menu and right-click drive the same Rename / Move up /
Move down / Delete. Empty sections show a dashed "Drag bots here" slot.
- Composes with gateway buckets: sections nest INSIDE each connection
bucket, indented under a hairline rail (membership lives in the bot's
profile on that gateway); empty sections repeat there only mid-drag.
- Full i18n parity (en / ja / zh / zh-hant) for every new string; icon
toggle and the storage-async plumbing removed.
- Tests trimmed to the three invariants (membership persists through
saveBotMeta + reload, remainder = Unassigned, delete returns bots +
undo) plus a live Electron e2e covering the whole flow.
- Docs: "Organize bots into sections" in user-guide/bot-mode.md.

Celio Monteiro d55d9d128a fix(gateway): route profile into topic prune, cooldowns, and docs
Address hermes-sweeper review on #76487:

- Prefer hermes_profile from send metadata when pruning stale topic
bindings so profile_routes cannot delete the transport adapter's
namespace instead of the routed runtime's
- Namespace lobby/capability cooldowns and /topic off cleanup by
  (profile, chat_id)
- Document profile_name PKs and scoped cleanup SQL in telegram.md
- Regression: primary-adapter stamp + routed metadata prune isolation

Teknium 648c664eb3 feat(desktop): gate cold-start restore on display.resume_last_session
- use-desktop-integrations: hold the restore latch until the config
record answers; when false, stay on the fresh chat (route and session
restore alike) while still remembering the open chat for next launch.
- wiring: read the shared config-record query; undefined while pending,
fetch failure falls back to the historical behavior (resume).
- appearance-settings: ToggleRow writing through the shared config
cache with rollback + notifyError on a failed save.
- ar/ru strings, docs line in user-guide/desktop.md, two hook tests.

Teknium 209de12d5f fix(desktop): Bot Mode tabs caption a Bot Chat with the bot's name, not "Bot Chat"
Every bot's canonical chat is stored under the same title ("Bot Chat" — the
name the gateway resolves it by, and an invariant roster-actions.ts's stale-tile
probe and #90102 rely on), so the main tab strip captioned every open bot chat
identically and two bots' tabs were indistinguishable (#99152).

Fix at the presentation layer, leaving the stored title and tabTitle untouched:
- workspace-scope.ts gains `$workspaceOwnerLabels` + `workspaceOwnerTitle()`:
a bots-mode tab whose resolved title still equals its registered placeholder
reads its owner's label instead. Side threads / Sessions tabs are untouched.
- session-tile.tsx captions tiles through it (and the drag payload); the main
`workspace` tab (controller.tsx) does the same via `$botChatScopes`, the
bot-mode scope the main tab was last opened under (it has no tile).
- The hermes-bots roster publishes displayName() per owner key through the new
  `host.setWorkspaceOwnerLabel` (feature-detected), so renames follow.

Supersedes #99177, which set tabTitle at open time — that reverts after mount
because tileTitle() prefers the stored row's title once the hidden row is
upserted, and breaks the `workspaceTabTitle === 'Bot Chat'` invariant.

Tests: one unit test on workspaceOwnerTitle() (bot chat → bot name; side
thread / sessions tab / unlabeled owner untouched) and one Electron e2e
(tab strip reads "Alpha", not "Bot Chat"); both fail on main, pass here.

Teknium 782dd635fe feat(tts): speech toggles warm/release plugin and command TTS providers
Extends the TTS lease from #100912 (4e3feb8bbb) beyond built-in local
engines: when the configured tts.provider is user-declared, acquiring
the first lease and releasing the last one now reach it, so a
self-hosted TTS server can preload its model when read-aloud / voice
conversation turns on and unload when it turns off (Discord request).

- agent/tts_provider.py: TTSProvider gains concrete no-op warm() /
release() (not abstract — existing plugins are unaffected).
- tools/tts_tool.py: _signal_user_tts_provider() forwards the lease
hook; plugin providers get warm()/release(), command providers run
  optional `warm_command` / `release_command` (config.yaml, under
tts.providers.<name>) through the existing _run_command_tts helper
on a daemon thread — best-effort, output discarded, failures at
debug. warm_tts_provider() and release_tts_provider() call it.
- tests/tools/test_tts_lifecycle_leases.py: fake plugin provider and
fake command provider observe warm/release through acquire/release
lease (both fail on main with action == "noop").
- docs: features/tts.md — lease section, command-provider optional
  keys table, plugin optional hooks.

Teknium 552159d222 feat(cli,tui): collapse bell_on_clarify/approval into display.bell_on_prompt
One key covers every blocking prompt modal: clarify (single + batch),
dangerous-command approval (incl. computer_use), sudo password, and
secret capture. CLI gets a _ring_bell() helper shared with
bell_on_complete; TUI rings on clarify/approval/sudo/secret .request
events (isTTY-gated). 'hermes config' Bell summary shows both flags.
