Breaks the two import cycles that forced Protocol stand-ins in the F821 sweep, so the two
sites now name the real types.
gateway/platforms/event.py (new leaf): MessageType, ProcessingOutcome, MessageEvent moved
out of base.py verbatim. Their only dependency is gateway.session.SessionSource; base.py
imported helpers.py at module level, so helpers could not name MessageEvent. Now
TextBatchAggregator is typed by the real MessageEvent. 249 importers repointed
(`from gateway.platforms.base import` -> `.event`, preserving each import's layout);
gateway.platforms.__init__ re-exports from .event. The three revert-scheduled PLUGIN-COMPAT
pointers that named these symbols (gateway.slash_commands → MessageType, dingtalk → MessageType,
photon → ProcessingOutcome) and their COMPAT_MANIFEST rows now target gateway.platforms.event.

tools/mcp_tool_sampling.py: ElicitationHandler no longer holds a back-reference to its
MCPServerTask (mcp_tool imports sampling, so the task type cannot be named there). It only
ever read owner._pending_call_context, so it takes `call_context: Callable[[], Context | None]`
and MCPServerTask passes `lambda: self._pending_call_context`. The consent call is one
`functools.partial`, run directly or inside the captured Context.
ty on the 11 touched production files vs origin/main: 0 new diagnostics, 14 resolved.
(The one `source: SessionSource = None` diagnostic moves with the class; typing it Optional
exposes ~60 unguarded call sites — separate follow-up.)
Tests: tests/gateway + tests/plugins + tests/tools + touched files, 18,235 passed; the 31
failures reproduce identically on origin/main (macOS /private/tmp, systemd socket,
long-path fixtures, live-service tests).
Seven test files asserted sub-2s wall-clock bounds (elapsed < 0.5/1.0s,
stop(timeout=1.0), event waits of 0.5-2s). Under CI load these fired on
healthy code: main run 33455779041 alone flaked 6 of them in one pass
(observed 1.01s vs 0.5, 1.20s vs 1.0, 3.61s vs 3.0, 1.55s vs 1.0,
stop(1.0) returning False, lease TTL 0.1s expiring before the authority
change was observed).
Per the AGENTS.md flake policy (waits >= 2s), bounds are raised to 5s+
while keeping their teeth: every hang path they guard blocks for 10s+
(release.wait holds), so the loosened bounds still distinguish bounded
from unbounded behavior. The authority-loss test gets a 30s lease TTL so
lease expiry can no longer preempt the authority-change assertion.
Same follow-through as the other filter-static stub updates: the three
lambdas patching filter_local_delivery_paths rejected the new keyword
and failed CI (tests/gateway/test_73771_media_resend_dedup.py).
Companion to the cherry-picked #74158 fix (non-streaming path):
- gateway/run.py: remove the identical history-dedup filter from
_deliver_media_from_response — the post-stream rescan is explicit-only
by design (#20834), so every MEDIA tag it finds is a deliberate
attachment request; drop the now-unused history_media_paths parameter
and its call-site plumbing.
- gateway/platforms/base.py: log suppressed bare local file paths on the
surviving local_files history dedup (#73771 observability ask).
- tests: focused regression file covering explicit resend delivery on
both lanes, current-turn tool-echo poisoning, surviving bare-path
dedup + its log line, and the upstream auto-append dedup invariant.
