A live tool run renders its rows inside a ticker — a window exactly one line tall that offsets to the newest row. Expanding a row inside it left the row's output clipped to that line, and the next call ticked it away entirely. Opening a row is a request to read it, so the run gives up the window until it settles: the ticker unmounts and the rows render at full height, the same escape an approval already had.
